8/3/09 - Sunday Sports Update

UNEXPECTED - It's the best word to describe what happened today. I think we had about 40 people turn up for the sports today.

Badminton with the most about 30 people. We had to open up all 6 courts for people to play on yet we have people waiting to get a court to play on. Amazing!

Basketball, we see the return of Alvin, which sparks the numbers of players to about 10 or so. With all 6 courts used up by badminton courts, we have to rent the small gym beside it for basketball alone.

As we were supposed to start training for the first time today, we can't really do so with the number of attendance for the sports. So, we left it till last after everyone has gone. Nonetheless, felt good to be back in training after few years of absence.

Overall, we managed to save up some money from the sports fee today due to the unexpected number of people. We need to save up more in case of rainy days.

Will next week be the same? I doubt we can keep up the high number of attendance but in the same time, hopefully the numbers do not drop drastically!
