1/3/09 - Sunday Sports Update

2nd sports session held yesterday. This week we have lesser people compared to the opening last Sunday.

Total: 16
Sports played: Badminton & basketball

Mostly Chinese side people for this week with a few new friends joining us for the very first time. Badminton seems to be the more popular sports for the time being. How long can it keep up? Last year, badminton was popular in the start but decrease gradually into the end of the year.

Basketball players aren't back yet, which is why the lack of involvement. With basketball addicts like Alvin gone, who's going to carry on the torch to keep the long tradition alive? Since we started the sports session, basketball has never ceased to run.

Again, we're losing money for this money. I'm a bit reluctant to increase the session fees but with the way things are going, next week we should be using up all of our money. Unless we can get "sponsors". Need to speak to our zone leader and pastor, since the sports session is part of the "fellowship" activities. He He!
