Beginning Of A New Era

After nearly 9 years, finally the tradition of dinner at "Nam Loong 2" will come to an end this Sunday. Throughout the 9 years, I believe never (or VERY rarely) before a Sunday has been missed by our church patrons to that restaurant.

Famous dishes ordered by pork chop rice (popularized by Oliver), spicy chicken chop on rice, mushroom & chicken on rice, etc. Even though with such loyalty, we were never really given any discounts except for once a while, the boss there might be good enough to charge us less a bit on drinks and stuff or gave us a free ice cream on special occasions.

Today, history takes place. Mandarin service time will be changed to 1.30pm for good. Previously, a 1.30pm was started as a "second" service to the existing one. This time, it's replacing the 7pm service.

Nam Loong 2 will definitely be affected by the absence of our people as we usually takes up 2-4 tables at least. Bad timing for them in the midst of recession to be losing a bunch of hungry ghosts!

In fact, with the service at 1.30pm, it seems any meals with brothers & sisters now would be even less unless they wanted to meet up before lunch? So the meals after cell groups become more important than ever to spend time socialising and catching up with others.
